Dilema: A certain store may have fired my boyfriend unjustly... so, I don't want to shop at said store. I don't mind shopping at other chains of this store, but the one he worked at does not deserve my money........... but, hey have Punky Brewster for $5 and t-shirts for $4, not to mention SUPER CUTE Valentine's day stuff. HELP! It's the closest store in like 100 miles.

3. Being in charge of designing not 1, but 2 endcaps at work! Yay craft expertise! I chose a paper themed end cap and a crochet one. Plus, I spent like 2 hours looking through books! Nothing better!

I love our line of Keep Calm and Carry On stuff at work. It's so fun!

1. I made a bear for my boss yesterday and I'm in love with it! It's so cute! Look at it's little face!

2. Reusuable bags. Funny story: A man bought Al Gore's Inconvient Truth and another book. When I asked him if he needed a bad he said "YES!" He was really offended that I even asked him. Isn't that ridiculous?

3. Fireworks. Matt's playing a funny game whe you make the fireworks explode.

4. Valentine's day! I love seeing pink and red everywhere! It's a good holiday after Christmas.

5. Finding out I still have 7 days of vacation time left! I'm going to use 4 days to go to New Orleans with my mom in February and I'll probably use the other 3 to go to Las Vegas this spring or summer. Or to Florida.

The wind sounds so cold outside. I don't want to go out there! And it's early and I couldn't sleep because I close maybe 8 times a month... my body can't adjust to this craziness.

Sorry for the complaining. It'll pass.

1. I'm happy my friends get the day off! It's too cold for anyone to go outside, so at least I know they're safe and warm.
2. Catching Fire. It's the sequel to Hunger Games. SO GOOD! I read half of it last night. It was hard to put down, but I did at 11 and went to bed... but didn't fall asleep until after 12, woke up at 2, woke up at 5, fell asleep as my alarm went off at 6. UGH.
3. Crazy, but fun dreams last night!
4. Taking a picture every day! I will post them to Across MO tonight when I get home from work.
5. My 2 days off were wonderful!

Maybe I'll make another one sometime! I've already had views on some of my items, so that's awesome! I plan to list more, but I'd like to make a sale first. I hope this actually works! I'm very excited!

It's so beautiful outside! It snowed all night, and is still snowing! I don't want to go to work, but I can appreciate the beauty anyway. Even if it's really cold! I have warm, pink boot slipper things from Santa!
I just need something to wake me up.

Man, I'm sleepy. I woke up at 5am and couldn't go back to sleep! Plus, my day off went way to fast yesterday. Where did it go? I think most of it was spent with me sleeping... the other with me cross-stitching!

1. I love my new craft (cross-stitching)! It's really fun and looks so homey! I will not abandon crochet, though!
2. Dinner with Chelsea, Alicia, Emily, Dana, Matt, Dan, Gayle, Sabriana, Phil, Ashley, another girl and guy I didn't know... I'm totally forgetting people. We ate at HuHot. It was so much fun and so good! Even after a really long wait because they were PACKED!
3. Taking pictures. I'm so excited about my picture a day for a decade! Wow... I hope I stick with it!
4. Aaron's text this morning. In Up In The Air they break into his high school and Aaron thought of me... and I totally thought of him!
5. Hopefully only 2 more days of stressed out, super busy work days.

Okay, so 2009 was not the worst year. Here are the great things that happened:
1. I bought a laptop.
2. I turned 25!
3. I went to Niagara Falls.
4. Matt and I drove to Las Vegas straight through.
5. I met my nephew!
6. I sold crocheted hats and headbands!
7. I moved in with just Matt... no roommates!
8. Matt graduated!
9. I went to Caysea's wedding and up in the arch!
10. I can't think of any really bad things that happened...

And if I reflect on the decade:
1. I graduated high school.
2. I graduated college!
3. I lived in California!
4. I went to Canada twice!
5. I fell in love!
6. I went parasailing!
7. I worked for Warner Brothers!
8. I wrote a script that won an award... I won a scholarship/theatre award... I won a lot of awards.
9. I met my best friends!
10. I went from a kid who couldn't drive to an adult with a full time job and bills to pay. What? Woah. That's insane.

Now, on to my goals for 2010:
1. Go to Paris.

Ahhh! I'm having anxiety! We're paying our last month's rent today and giving them notice. I need to call the new place and find out when we can pay the deposit so he'll hold the apartment. It's just so unstructured that I'm nervous. No lease or anything like that, it's an individual not a company, etc. These are things I like, but I'm also very nervous about it.

But it's the last day of 2009, so I will try to be happy!

1. Something cool may have happened with my student loans.
2. We get paid early again this week! Yay holiday pay!
3. Vitamin B... hopefully it will help me feel less stressed.
4. Comfy blankets. I love you, warmth.
5. Getting the apartment back in order starting tomorrow. I love my Christmas decorations, but they take up so much room!

Life Decisions

Wow, so yesterday was crazy! I definitely didn't expect to mak a decision about moving, but I'm pretty excited about it. It's going to save us a lot of money. It's closer to downtown, so we can do more things with people. It's farther away from work, which kind of stinks, but is probably okay at the same time. It's closer to our favorite grocery store, and our favorite chinese place. It's older... and might not have a dishwasher, but it's free laudry in the basement. So, I'm nervous, but we're going to try it. And we have a month to pack and everything, so that's cool.

My 5 things I'm thankful for:
1. New adventures.
2. I might get overtime at work this week. We've already had to stay late twice, so I know I'll at least hit 40 hours. Plus holiday time!
3. New Year... New Me... ish. It starts with de-cluttering my life. That will be hard, but ultimately good.
4. New TV. Old to Karina, new to Matt and I. It's awesome and we love it!
5. Supportive friends and family. Offers to help us move... and even a truck loan. SO nice!

2. Finally getting to have Christmas! We got our presents from my aunt and uncle's house yesterday morning and had a big opening session here in SpringVegas when Matt got off work. It was really fun! I got some clothes, some money, a bag, a giant trunk filled with yarn (from Matt's sister), owl statues, an external hard drive, perfume, an owl pillow, some penguin stuff, a french press, a grow your owl salad kit, a clock thing, a cross stitch of my name, cookies, peppermint bark, and a bunch of other awesome stuff.
3. Karina and Sean. They're giving us their TV. They are very nice people and good friends. I'm happy to know them!
4. I had 4 days off! It wasn't intentional and I might not get paid for being trapped in KC, but the time off was really nice.
5. Thinking about goals for 2010. I will post this soon.

Okay, we tried to venture out into the mess... we were running low on food and wanted to make sure we have kitty litter for our trip to Springfield tomorrow. WE HAVE TO MAKE IT. The snow didn't stop until about an hour ago and they're predicting more snow over night. So, pray for me.

Okay, since I didn't actually get to spend Christmas doing my normal things, I've been pretty sad. Last night I fell asleep thinking about all my memories at my aunt and uncle's. I miss their tree, and someone handing out presents, and doing scratcher tickets from Santa, and stockings, and drinking coffee, and eating the cassarole... on and on. Our Christmas was nice. Santa came! He brought really cool stuff and drank our RedBull. It was really nice to be with my mom. We didn't plan on not getting a holiday meal, so what we had to eat was burritos and a cheese ball.

So, I'm feeling kind of sad, but I'm also happy that we got to see how other families might have to spend their Christmas. It's kind of a neat experience.

Plus, here's the really good thing! I called worked today because we were supposed to leave and try to get to Springfield so I could work at 330pm. We were going to leave at 10am. So, I wake up at 8:30am and my mom tells me that it's still snowing and the news is saying don't drive unless you absolutely have to. And that they're giving tickets if you get stuck and don't have snow tires. So, I called one of my managers. He said he couldn't decide for me and the weather was perfect there. So, we called MODOT and they said "I don't know how good of a driver you are, so I can't tell you if you'd make it or not. It's clear passed Bolivar." Well, that was helpful. :) At about the time that we were trying to find another number to call, another manager called and said that the other head cashier will close and to be safe. So, I feel really cared for and happy knowing that they care enough to talk about it and call me and tell me to stay home. I'm very happy about this.

1. Saturday Night Live! I seriously LOVE this tv program. It's so funny. And I know that other people have LOVED it for so long, but I am just now REALLY getting into it.
2. CHRISTMAS IS ONLY A FEW DAYS AWAY! I am excited because I'm not at work today. I have today off, I open tomorrow, then I'm at home in KC with my mom until Friday night! Then I close at work on Saturday and have Sunday off... not sure why, but I'll take it! :)
3. The house is pretty clean and smells like fresh laundry. (Yay scent sprays!)
4. James Franco. Attractive. Funny. Likeable. I bet that he and I would be friends if we'd have had classes together or something.
5. Um.... food! I don't know what I'm gong to eat, but it's going to be really tasty. I'm hungry.

:( I don't feel good. My body aches, my head hurts, my throat hurts, my nose is running, I feel like crying, and I have been coughing and sneezing. Work wise it's the worst time to have to call in. So, I feel doubly bad. :(

Positive things:
1. I have paid sick time.
2. Maybe a day of rest will make me feel really good!
3. Orange juice.
4. I have books to read that aren't Wuthering Heights.
5. The mail is really fast.

1. Glee finale! I totally cried, yelled, cheered, and smiled A LOT! It was so cute and so good! The music, man, it's so good!
2. Throat drops. My throat hurts, therefore these are great things. :)
3. It looks pretty outside. I'm sure it's cold, but at least the sun looks warm.
4. Matt graduates in a week! Even if he's pretending to not care, it's a big deal and I'm super excited!
5. Finger knitting. Easy, fast, and fun!

1. Got all my shopping and shipping done! Now just to finish making things!
2. I learned how to make baby booties! I'm using them as tree ornaments, though. I like them better that way.
3. More hat orders! I love selling them! Keep the orders coming!
4. Purchased books! I bought 3! I know this sounds weird, but it's our extra discount week and I was afraid I was just going to buy kits and presents and no books... and I love books... so I wanted to buy books! :)
5. I was waiting for a coupon to come and it's here! So the item I would have paid full price for is going to b 40% off plus an additional 25%! WOO HOO!

Hello! I was going to do a Thanksgiving inspired post, but I'm just not inspired by Thanksgiving! It's a great holiday and I love what it stands for, but the decorations and things are just not my style. I'll hold off until after Thanksgiving to do any Christmas related posts, though. :) My apartment is already decorated, though. LOL!

I'm thankful for:
1. A.S. who I work with. She's the nicest person and always tells me what I need to hear. Plus, she wrote an Above and Beyond about me, which really made me feel good. It's rare that I get recognized at work. : )
2. Today is my day off! (And yes it is raining.... once again I missed all the good weather. Tee hee.)
3. Matt turned on the space heater, so I won't freeze during my shower!
4. The apartment is almost clean! I'm having company tonight, and I'm a little nervous. Her house is super aweome and clean and adult looking... my apartment is not. :)

#2 To have a group of friends rent 1 or 2 hotel rooms for a weekend and spend the entire time hanging out, swimming, walking to whatever entertainment we can find... I remember in high school I went on a retreat with church. I don't remember why we were there, but we went to some Day's Inn that had a HUGE water park type swimming pool. It was so much fun! I want to do that again. Just hang out and be carefree!
#3 To join a theatre group and start doing what I love again.
#4 A job that makes me feel good about myself.
#5 Bacon and coffee and cereal and toast. MMMMMMM... I need food!

Things I'm thankful for:
1. Cassie! She's such a good friend. I wish we lived in the same city!

2. Martha's Vineyard and dancing with no inhabitions! I just kept on moving even though I know I looked like an idiot. :) It was fun!
3. SUSHI! I want to go to Umi again! So good and not that expensive because they give you salad and soup, so it's 1 roll a piece is enough! (Plus edamame, of course!)
4. Sleeping in and feeling happy to wake up. My first thoughts were "Wow, I slept really good... I don't think I moved all night... how lovely! I hope I didn't have to get up earlier, though!"
5. Showers. I need one. :) I wish people didn't smoke in clubs.

The workers didn't even flinch and walked all around our school! They've changed SO MUCH! I'll put pictures of us on here later or on Across Mo. It turned out that our theatre teacher was having a meeting about a London trip, so we stopped by and interrupted. It was pretty great. She knew Aaron by name, but definitely recognized me. I'm sure she thought of it later. :)

8. Watching Glee on TV... not on the computer! Watching TV in general!

4. Christmas Cards... we got them at work today and I got to help sticker them! There are some super fun ones! I'm thinking about buying some with owls on them! Oh, plus I've been there long enough to have a "last year I... blah blah blah" story. Mine is: Last year they put me in charge of stickering the cards at 30% off and I put the stickers wherever they looked prettiest. No one told me that the sticker had to be in the upper right hand corner. So, the next time I worked someone else was complaing about how they had to re-sticker the entire table because someone (they didn't know who) had stickered them wrong. LOL!
5. Red Velet cupcakes with buttercream frosting. Yes, I had that at work today too!
